Finding a good contractor on the other side of the country, with little insight into the market, nor the house that is being renovated, is even more stressful. Enter Rick Rockwell, a man of many words that will help calm your anxiety, build trust and deliver on beautiful work. I interviewed four contractors and Rick Rockwell was actually not available for my gut renovation. I told my architect to try again, because I knew that the person that we brought on would have to be more than a contractor. This person would be the arbiter of our home and the keeper of a family legacy that dates back to the 1800s. I am glad that I got him to take on the job. Not only did I get a contractor who does amazing work, but his team and specifically his business partner wife and our project manager were responsive, professional, proactive and talented. Even through the trials of the pandemic, work proceeded and updates to timelines were communicated.
